We were unable to have art this afternoon, so instead Tish prepped a really cute Easter project. The children took tissue paper and stuck them on a contact paper egg. When you hang them in the window, the light shines right through. They are beautiful!

Mr. Pancake came to Academy School showed us how to tap a maple tree. He is the father of our ELL teacher, Heidi Pancake. We had such a fun time watching him drill the hole! He put a tap in and placed a bucket underneath. Although the sap did not come running right out of the tree, we will be looking forward to going back to and checking how much sap our tree is producing.

|We chanted "drill that hole!"|
|No sap yet, but we will keep an eye on the bucket|

This week we had a dad come in and read to the class. He read us two books What Was I Scared Of? by Dr. Seuss and Stop That Ball! by Mike McClintock and Fritz Siebel. Both books were enjoyed very much by the Kindergarteners. Thanks so much for reading to us!
Last week we had a secret reader special adult friend come in!! It was so exciting! This person read the book Always In Trouble by Corinne Demas. It is a very funny book about a dog who is always getting himself into trouble. The kids loved it!
